“Common Ground” featuring Stephanie Mutz of Sea Stephanie Fish

April 10 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

$45 – $55

Introducing “Common Ground” a community-oriented speaker series hosted by Chad Melville, Co-Founder + Head Winegrower of Melville Winery. Join Chad at our Santa Barbara Tasting Lounge for intimate conversations with a variety of personalities from our vibrant community with topics ranging from organic farming and sustainability to art, music and more. Learn, share, commune, and be inspired by our local talents and tastemakers.

Kicking off the series with Chad is local legend and sea urchin diver, Stephanie Mutz. Stephanie spends her mornings in the cold, sharky waters off the coast of Santa Barbara long before you’ve had your first cup of coffee. Why, you ask? She’s hunting down rare delicacies of the sea for discerning patrons and top restaurants up and down California…most notably prized Santa Barbara sea urchin. Listen in as Chad and Stephanie discuss her fascinating profession, the magic that is ‘uni’, and the unexpected common ground between their crafts.

Tickets must be purchased in advance – $45 for Melville wine club members, $55 for non-members. Ticket includes two glasses of Melville’s organically-farmed, 100% estate wine, artisan cheese & charcuterie, a sampling of uni harvested by Stephanie, and of course…priceless conversation.
